Musicologie Newark
Community Manager ( Studio manager)
Community Manager (Studio Manager) S.A.M. Singapore Math and Musicologie
Location: Millburn, NJ or Livingston (On-Site)
Job Type: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt, W-2
Compensation: $51,000 to $59,000 base salary ( Including $4,000 annual performance bonus)
About the Role: Run a thriving neighborhood learning center where kids build math confidence and a love of music. You will run the center, lead the team, welcome the families, and own enrollment growth.
Two programs share our Millburn center: S.A.M. Singapore Math and Musicologie. You are the face of both and the person who makes the whole center work. You report directly to the owners and have real authority to make decisions, try new ideas, and shape how the center grows.
We are looking for a self-starter and proactive problem solver: someone who spots a gap, builds the fix, and follows through without waiting to be asked.
You do not need to be a musician or a math teacher. We will train you on our programs.
What You'll Do
- Run the Center and Own the Family Experience
- Own daily operations across both programs, including schedules, classrooms, supplies, and logistics
- Keep the center organized, welcoming, and running smoothly every day
- Respond to parent questions and concerns with professionalism, ownership, and urgency
- Make sure every family has a great experience, from their first visit through long-term enrollment
- Anticipate problems and put systems in place before they become issues
- Own Sales and Enrollment
- You own enrollment for the center, start to finish
- Follow up with leads by phone, text, and email, and move prospects to a visit or enrollment
- Conduct tours, assessments, and enrollment conversations, and confidently ask for the enrollment
- Follow up after assessments and re-engage past or inactive leads
- Track leads, appointments, conversions, and enrollment goals in our CRM and scheduling systems
- Lead and Manage the Team
- Hire, onboard, schedule, train, coach, and manage teachers and staff
- Build and maintain a substitute teacher roster so classes always run as scheduled
- Set clear expectations, delegate with clear ownership, and hold the team accountable
- Address performance issues early and fairly
- Partner with teachers to keep students engaged and enrolled. Retention is a shared goal, and you lead it.
- Grow the Center in the Community
- Support local marketing, promotions, open houses, concerts, and math competitions
- Build relationships with local schools, organizations, and community partners
- Identify new ways to bring families into the center
What You Bring
Essential:
- 3+ years of professional experience, with some experience leading, training, or managing people
- A self-starter who takes initiative and solves problems proactively
- Strong organization and follow-through across many moving parts
- Confident, friendly communication with parents, children, and staff
- Comfort making phone calls, following up consistently, and selling without being pushy
Helpful, but not required:
- Background in sales, customer service, education, hospitality, retail, fitness, or childcare
- Experience with CRM or scheduling software (training provided)
- Experience with local marketing or event planning
Not sure you meet every point? Apply anyway. We hire for initiative, ownership, and leadership, and we train on the rest.
